KEEPING IN TOUCH

So glad to see my close friends from grade school. We'll be having our reunion this year. We met at Ana's residence last Saturday, since everyone of us knows their place. We agreed to keep in touch as often as possible to be able to organize the event. But not only that, we really missed each other 'coz it's been 10 years since we had our last get together.

We talked about a lot of things specially those of our childhood memories. Our funny times together with our classmates, our teachers, even our principal. We enjoyed recalling every love teams. Our classmates alias and all the those teasing. Most of all we remembered all the naughty things we've done. LOL. It's such a great feeling every time we reminisce our happy moments together. We can't wait for the reunion to happen. We are all so excited. But for now we just have to keep in touch with our other classmates.

I SIGNED UP FOR PPP

My sister introduced me into this blogging world a few months ago. I easily liked the idea since I also love to write. It’s my way of expressing and sharing my thoughts specially those that inspires and enlightens. Actually, it’s one of my hobbies nowadays. Somehow it gives me a certain feeling of fulfillment & self satisfaction every time I write an article.

My sister is into paid blogging. And she encouraged me to apply to payperpost so that I can also have an extra income. At first I was reluctant and have some doubts. But when I have personally witnessed how it improved her financial status, I am now convinced that indeed paid blogging is really rewarding.

Then I finally decide to apply to payperpost last June 21, 2008. And after a week I was so happy when I received an email informing that my blog is approved. I can now have the chance to earn money just by blogging about things. When my sister learned about it she reminded me to be a responsible blogger thus having word of mouth ethics when writing. This is really great, imagine getting paid for what I think is just a hobby.

Whatever income I may earn, I will save it to push through with my plan of putting up a small business. I hope that opportunities will come my way as I go on with my blogging.

PIZZA TREAT

We decided to go out for dinner earlier tonight before working overnight. It's a special treat to us by the management. Since we were all craving for pizza, one of my officemates suggested to try for something new. We went to Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati and dine at A Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante, an American & Italian cuisine. They offer a variety of pizza and pasta servings to choose from. Like all meat pizza, buffalo wings, roast beef, cheese hero sandwich, oil and garlic pasta with seafood and a lot more. The place was full of customers when we came and we waited for almost an hour. But it's worth the wait 'coz their food was great. And we were able to bond at least for a while.

STRESS RELIEF

This picture was taken during our Finance Planning in Pansol, Laguna. When I'm worn-out or exhausted, one stress relief I've learned is to look at some beautiful pictures. I have a compilation of all my pictures in my PC so that I can easily look for it everytime I need to see it.

And this one's really refreshing to look at. It reminds me of how our friendship have grown through the years. We may have different personalities and faith, yet our group remain as solid as ever.

So if you're feeling tired or drained, you can always try to look for some stress relief just to loosen up. Like seeing a feel good movie, spa, food trip, scuba diving, bible reading. Or just muse over your pictures.

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER

My mom & I were awakened by the great sounding of the wind. It's 2 AM when I looked at the clock. It was really frightening to hear the wrath of Typhoon Frank.

We can't sleep anymore so we just prayed and asked God to please make a way to stop it.

And He did.. I knew it 'coz it's His special day. He won't allow us to just stay at home and witness the damages of this typhoon.

We were so glad to see each other when we came to our church. Almost all of us were present. We have no electricity yet it didn't stop us to offer our service to God. It was only the drums that kept us alive during praise and worship time. And the heavy rains stopped when it was time for the message hour.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God"

(Romans 8:28)

God is really good to those who love Him..

MY KIND OF MUSIC

What Your Taste in Music Says About You

Your musical tastes are reflective and complex.

You are intellectual to the point of being cerebral.

You are very open to new experiences, and even more open to new ideas and theories.

Wisdom and personal accomplishment are important to you.

You are naturally sophisticated. You are drawn to art, especially art by independent artists.

You are likely to be financially well off... and not because you were born that way.

What Does Your Taste in Music Say About You?

This test says a lot about me. I'm really a very reflective person especially when it comes to music. When I was young I'm not very particular with the lyrics of a certain song, it's the tune that appeals to me more. But now that I'm older, everytime I hear a beautiful new song, I would search for the lyrics first to be able to appreciate it more.

CHERRY'S ANGEL

This cute little boy is Erwin Angelo. He is the son of my friend Cherry. He was named after her father Erwin combined with Angelo, because for them he is an angel.

Cherry brought him when we met last Saturday at Ana's place. It was like a small reunion. We were talking and laughing at each other. But this cute little kid kept on smiling and staring at me. As if telling me to pay my attention to him. It was late in the evening but he's still very much awake and full of energy.

Cherry and I had lost communication for months. I was thinking that maybe she's fed up with my excuses everytime she invites me on our batchmates gatherings.

But after seeing Angelo, everything is clear to me now. This cute little angel is what's keeping her busy. And I'm so happy for her.

MEANT TO BE

It felt so good seeing my friend Ana wearing a wedding gown. She had found the love of her life. Little did I know that it was our high school batchmate Lito who will finally win her heart. We graduated from the same school in CCS. We actually had our reunion last year sometime in January. But it was only in September when they really got to know each other well. After nine months of being together they decided to get married. They were really meant for each other, that's what all our batchmates comments. 'Coz it took them a lot of years to find each other. And today, they have finally taken their vows..

"To have and to hold, from this day forward,
for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish,
till death do us part..

DOUBLE CELEBRATION

We left the office early this evening to celebrate the birthday of our colleagues, Ate Beth and Elma. We rented an exclusive restaurant owned by the brother of our officemate. Almost all of us in the Accounting, Treasury & Collection, and Purchasing Department joined the celebration.

These two ladies are very close friends of mine. Two wonderful person whom I know I can always lean on. They have a lot of things in common, like being outspoken, honest and sweet. Not surprising though 'coz they're both Gemini.

It's their treat to us and thanksgiving at the same time..

TAE BO WORKOUT

I love holidays. It gives me time to do whatever I want. Thanks to President GMA for the long weekend. She had moved the Philippine Independence day holiday today instead of it's original date on June 12. I've been waiting for this chance to come . Am really planning for some week now to return to my favorite workout, TAE BO..

I have gained a lot of weight and I really should do something about it. So I looked for my CD to get started.

By the way, for those who are not so familiar with this kind of exercise. Tae Bo was invented by Billy Blanks, a world champion in karate. It's a cardiovascular exercise which is a mixture of dance, music, kick boxing and even aerobics. It's goal is to build and tone muscles, lose calories & weight, and increase flexibility.

DON'T WORRY FOR TOMORROW

I always look forward on seeing my churchmates every Sunday. I love to hear their testimonies. Am a bit shy on that matter 'coz I'm so emotional that I easily get into tears. That's why I envy those who are capable of standing in front and testify. And one of them is Sister Ritchie, she's the wife of one of the ministers in our church. She had this great testimony this morning.

She was thankful to the Lord that she and her family were able to survive despite the poverty that we're experiencing not only in our country but on some other places in the world. She illustrated all the disaster that occurred. But was glad that they are holding on to God's promises. That we need not worry for tomorrow because God will take care of it.
Then I remember what the apostle Matthew said..

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Matthew 6:25-27
And she's perfectly right, what an inspiring testimony..

GERRY'S GRILL BONDING

We had this short bonding at Gerry’s Grill in Promenade, Greenhills. We all missed their food especially their kuhol and sisig. We got very busy at work and the last time we were there was two months ago. We prefer to dine at Gerry’s simply because their food is really great. Not to mention the good ambiance and clean environment. They have pleasing crew and staff, including their very accommodating guard ( ‘coz he’s the one who took our picture, he he he)

TIANGGE @ GREENHILLS

I decided to drop by at Greenhills Shopping Center earlier this evening. Am looking for some nice stuff as a gift for my bestfriend, who will be celebrating her birthday on June 21. I realized that I missed their tiangge so much that it took me some hours to take my rounds. They have a lot of products to choose from like bags, shoes, jewelry, apparels, toys, mobile phones, gadgets and a lot more. They even have paintings & chandeliers that are really amazing. So just in case you're looking for a one stop shop, I highly recommend GSC.

THANKFUL

I want to thank my office pals, Ate Beth, a very close friend, and our 2 new employees in the Accounting department, Jasmin & Lyn. They have helped me a lot when our two officemates were on leave. Because without them my work would be a mess. I have plenty of workload and having them to assist me was a great help.

This is my way of thanking them. They always visit my blog and somehow I want them to feel that I am really grateful for everything that they have done to me.

Thanks for all the help! God will bless you for your wonderful deeds.

CLICK FIVE

Well, well, well.. Do you know these guys? They are Click Five of course. The band that sang Jenny, Happy Birthday, Flipside, and a lot more.

I'm not actually a fan and I'm not so familiar with them. Just got curious 'coz their really good looking.

It so happen that CATS Motors, Inc. (the company where I work), dealer of Mercedes Benz here in the Philippines, was one of the sponsors of their concert here in Manila last May 30, 2008 at the Araneta Coliseum.

They have visited our showroom last May 29 for some photo shoot.

GOOD REPORT

I prepared my monthly report last night on our venue pledges collection. And was so glad to have found out that it's our biggest collection so far for this year.

I am the treasurer of our church and one of my duties is to collect my churchmates weekly pledges. Their contribution goes to our payment for venue rental, electricity & water expenses.

Unlike other churches, we don't have a financial support from missionaries abroad. We decided to separate from the group we once belong due to some conflicts & organizational system. Since then, we only have each other to support our church financial needs. We've gone through a lot of trials but God never leave us. He is our constant provider, our Jehovah Jireh.

And once again, it was a blessed Sunday for all of us. When it's my time to report this morning, I can see the smiles in their eyes. I took the chance to encourage them more that it only shows that we have prioritized God in our lives and that's why we have a good report.

As Matthew 6:33 says..

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all this things shall be added unto you.
