MOM'S THANKSGIVING

It's another thanksgiving for our family yesterday when we celebrate the birthday of my mother. We're grateful that she has reached the age of 77 blessed with a healthy mind and body. Everything is fine with her now and she's fully recovered from her cataract operation. God is so good and merciful. And we're giving back all the glory and honor to Him.

We had a simple celebration with just a few close friends who came to greet her.

And our relatives who came all the way from Laguna..

Mom was so happy. She told me last night before going to sleep that she's the luckiest person in the whole world because God has blessed her for having such a loving family and friends. And my only reply to her was.. "you deserve all of it, you're the best" 'coz I was too tired and sleepy.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

There are a lot of things and reasons to be thankful for. I'm grateful to God for the wonderful life that He gave me, for my loving family and friends. God has been so good to me and I want to thank Him over and over. That's why I'm joining Thankful Thursday, and this is my first entry.


1. I'm thankful that I'm feeling better now after experiencing chest pains last night

2. I'm thankful that my mom is back to normal (according to her doctor) after her cataract operation last month

3. I'm thankful that I had a chat with a long lost friend and we're able to fix our differences.

4. I'm thankful that I was able to accomplish a lot of work this afternoon in preparation for my month end reports.

5. I'm thankful that God instantly answered my prayer this morning.

6. I'm thankful that a friend who's fighting for her life is celebrating her birthday today. God is really great and merciful.

7. Lastly, I'm thankful that I have finally join Thankful Thursday.


Let us all give thanks to the Lord. For He is wonderful, magnificent God.

WW - HERITAGE OF CEBU MONUMENT

The Heritage of Cebu Monument is located in Colon Street, a crowded street in downtown Cebu City and which is considered to be the oldest street in the Philippines.

It's great sculptural tableau was built by a national artist named Eduardo Castrillo.

It depicts the historical and symbolical events of Cebu during the arrival of the Spaniards.

We didn't miss the chance when we passed by the street, so lucky that we're still able to take a good shot of the monument.

I've been browsing Gospel Music from YouTube a while ago and this particular song from Don Moen captured my heart. I'm sure you'll like it too.

There was a time in my life when I got so confused that I don't know where to go to. I'm surrounded with the people I love and who truly loves me in return, yet there's this kind of odd emptiness inside.

It was one of my lowest point where it seems that no one can really help me. "Where else can I go?"

It was then that I came to realize that it's only Him that can truly rescue me.

WW - PEOPLE'S PARK IN THE SKY

Formerly called Palace in the Sky, People's Park is the most visited place in Tagaytay. Great view of the sky, Taal Lake & most specially during sunset or even sunrise. Surely a place for relaxation with it's cool climate and fresh air.

Though I may say that the last time I was here, I've observed that it's not properly maintained anymore. I just hope that the management will pay attention in restoring the beautiful, peaceful & clean ambiance of the place.

Anyway, I still visit People's Park whenever I have time. I just love the place, that's all..

I'm with my friends Tin & Jah the other night in Greenhills. And we decided to dine @ Le Ching Tea House.. beef brisket, siomai, hakao & chicken feet.. hmmm.. yummy.. we're really starving since we all came from work late that evening.

GET TOGETHER @ RUBI ROSA

It was another bonding moment with my church family last May 1. We had a get together @ Villa Rubi Rosa Resort, a private pool in Bgy. Pansol, Calamba, Laguna.

The place is not so huge but just enough to accommodate us. It has 2 swimming pools for adult & kids, 3 air conditioned rooms, a kitchen equipped with ref & gas range and a videoke machine.

We had so much fun. The ministers played around the pool as if they were little kids (LOL.. they're always like that, actually) While the elder sisters cooked and prepared our food. But the kids were the most happy, they only leave the pool whenever they're hungry. I guess they really doesn't want to miss this chance, after all it would be their last break before the opening of classes in June.

It was really an enjoyable and relaxing moment for all of us.
