PRAYER FOR OUR NATION

glitter-graphics.com

Our Father in Heaven, we humbly pray to You as a nation.

We plead to Your merciful heart that You may look upon us with compassion.

We pray for our brothers who have lost their lives today. Receive them in Your Heavenly Kingdom.

We pray for those who have lost and those who were still trying to get home to their family. Make their way easy.

We pray for those who have lost their homes. Give them comfort.

We pray for those who are still exposed to the bad conditions and awaiting for help. Give them strength.

Everything we do for our unfortunate brethren, we offer to You and Your Glory. All this we pray. AMEN.

This is a prayer sent by a friend thru text message. Hope this can ease the burden & strengthen those who were greatly affected by storm Ondoy.

God bless our nation.

BE STILL

Hope I can enlighten you with this song..

In the midst of a great storm, God says be still..

And they woke him and said to him, Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Peace! Be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith? (Mark 4:38-40).

Hope we can still find peace in the midst of the storms of life, may it be a literal or a spiritual storm.

Let us all pray for one another.

WW - CAREFREE

The kids reminds me of my childhood carefree days. They don't even care that I'm taking pictures of them. Hmmm.. to tell you frankly, the moment I saw them I actually envied the way they play & enjoy the waters of Mactan Bay. It was one of my fave shots during our trip to Cebu coz aside from the nature, I also love the kids as my subject.

BE CONTENT

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 - NIV)

Whenever I read this particular verse in the Bible, I had a great feeling of assurance from the Lord. God had been constantly providing me with all my needs and I feel so blessed that He's been always there for me.

I may not have everything I want, I mean materially. But then, He taught me to be content with what I have. How to appreciate every single blessing and enjoy the small & simple things in life.

Most importantly, a great assurance, that whatever happens, He will never ever leave me nor forsake me.

LEAD ME LORD

It's such a relief knowing God will always be there for us.

Our refuge and strength and a very present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1)

Who will surely guide us and lead us in every step of our way.

And when life seems so uncertain, He is our light and a lamp upon our feet.

Lead me Lord.. This is my prayer for this very moment.

NO MORE BAD DAYS

JUST A PIECE OF ADVICE, GUYS!

When it seems that someone's going to ruin your day. And you feel like quitting or giving up.

Better change your mind. Don't be a loser. Don't get affected.

Just keep this thought on your mind, and say it quietly to the person who's making your life miserable.

You’re not going to make me have a bad day. If there’s oxygen on earth and I’m breathing, it’s going to be a good day. – Cotton Fitzsimmons

I just did.

No more bad days for me from now on.

PHOTOHUNT: ELECTRIC

Photo was taken last May 2009. Sis and I, together with the kids were having early shopping for school supplies at SM Cubao. These lights captured our eyes in awe as it shifts from one color to another. Superb and captivating, I may say. And it's all because of the advanced electric technology nowadays. As you can see that a lot of bystanders appreciate what they were seeing.

09-09-09, LUCKY OR NOT?

While watching the news this morning, a certain Feng Shui expert was asked what's really behind the 09-09-09 date. The host wanted to clarify if it's really lucky or not. She said that it's indeed a perfect date to get married, make a big decision in life or open a new business. But then she also reminded the viewers that it's not all luck for today. She added that 2009 = 11, which means that it's actually 09-09-11. And we all know that September 11 marks the dreadful bombing of the World Trade Center eight years ago. She said that for travelers, it may not be a good day to go out. So take precautions or simply pray, if in case you can't cancel your trip anymore.

For me that's the best thing she had shared this morning.

Pray, still is the most important thing to do in every situation.

JOSHUA TURNS SIX

My nephew Josh was so happy during his 6th birthday last Saturday. He woke up very early and greeted me with a smile with his usual good morning. I had to say sorry to him that I can't take a leave due to important reports to be done at work. He said that it's okay with him since they'll be going out to spend his birthday.

Together with her mom & sisters, they went to SM City North EDSA to meet their dad. Here are some of his photos..

I was eating the spaghetti and cake that her mom had prepared when they came home. Josh was too tired but still managed to give his sweetest smile. And I know in my heart that he was really very happy on his special day.

PHOTOHUNT: ORANGE

This photo was taken during our trip to Boracay via Zest Air. I always make it a point to take pictures of the clouds whenever I travel by plane. I was just a bit disappointed then 'coz I was seated in the wing side of the plane. Well, anyway I think this photo is fairly suited for this week's Photohunt Theme: Orange

DO YOU FOLLOW YOUR HEAD OR YOUR HEART?

You Follow Your Heart

You're romantic, sentimental, and emotional.

You tend to fall in (and out of) love very quickly.

Some may call you fickle, but you can't help where your emotions take you.

You've definitely broken a few hearts, but you're not a heartbreaker by nature.

Your intentions are always good, even if they change with the wind

Do You Follow Your Head or Your Heart?

This blogthings test is really interesting. Though I may say that the result may not always be the truth or the fact. Of course, it's just a test. As for me, the second statement is the most true. It actually happens to me not just once but sooo many times. And to tell you frankly, I sometimes feel that it's not normal anymore. LOL!
