Part of my traveling escapades is to look for some souvenirs for my loved ones & friends. One of my favorite items are native bags. I'm so amazed and fascinated by these beautifully made bags by our natives in almost all of the popular tourist spots here in the Philippines. And I may say that I'm really so proud of them.

I OFFER MY LIFE

Today marks my 17th faith anniversary, or should I say, my spiritual birthday. Seventeen years ago I have decided to have a personal relationship with the Lord and take a meaningful path in serving God.

Since then, my life has totally changed. From parties to bible study, from luxury to simple living and from secular music to gospel.

"I offer my life" is a heart grown song that I wish to share on this very important day. It's my way of thanking the Lord for a great privilege of knowing Him and serving Him.

KEEPING THE WORD

It's really important for us Christians to keep the word of the Lord close to our hearts. As for me, it's my greatest weapon in this chaotic world. Sometimes, life is so confusing that we don't know where to go to. But we should always keep in our minds that "God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us" (Ephesians 3:20)

What a great assurance from the Lord. All we have to do is to trust Him and always keep His words.

FRIDAY FILL-INS # 146

And...here we go!

1. So are we going to repeat the same mistake again after the tragedy?

2. Rebuilding, recycling & returning to our normal life is what's up ahead, after the storm.

3. I love to dip french fries over a choco fudge sundae.

4. I've been thinking of unwinding of some sort to a very isolated place.

5. I walk a lot everyday, just to have an exercise.

6. Knowing God is the true elixir of life!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to have a cup of coffee with a friend @ Starbucks , tomorrow my plans include doing some household chores and Sunday, I want to buy some groceries after Sunday Service!

WW - EDSA ORTIGAS FOOTBRIDGE VIEW

These photos were taken during our long way walk @ the EDSA-Ortigas Footbridge. We had our lunch at Robinson's Galleria last Saturday and it was a very hot & tiring walk on our way back to our office. I thought of taking some pictures while walking just to get away with my exhaustion. Good thing that I always bring my cam with me everytime we go out. I just hope you like my photos.

THANKFUL THURSDAY - AFTER THE STORM

I will never miss this opportunity to thank the Lord for keeping us all safe after storm Ondoy hit our nation.

I'm also thankful for our church mates, family friends and office pals who have shown their great concern upon knowing that our place was flooded. We're thankful for the prayers and moral support they gave. In times of troubles, you will really know who your true friends are. And we're so blessed to have them all.

I'm thankful that after the storm, we're now moving on and in the process of returning to our normal life.

All praises to God 'coz again, He has proven that indeed He is our refuge and strength in times of difficulties.

RELIEVED AND THANKFUL

It's been 10 days after the dreadful typhoon Ondoy hit our country. And it obviously left a great impact on the lives of the Filipino people specially those who were badly affected by it's wrath. And well, we're actually one of those 'coz we live in Cainta.

Thank God our house is a two storey, so we're able to save all the important documents, our clothes and almost all our appliances. As far as I can remember, the last flood we've experienced was 10 years ago, but it was only knee deep. So we're really scared when this flood came so swiftly and goes about 4ft high inside our house.

I'm at the office then but I'm closely monitoring the flood not only in our area but in all the places in the Metro that were greatly affected. I slept at the office since it's very impossible for me to pass the roads to our home. I just came Sunday night and was devastated by the dirt & the clutter caused by the flood.

But when I saw my whole family, I was relieved and thankful that God took care of us all. Staying at the office with no communication at all have drive me really crazy. Seeing them complete and safe and smiling was one of the most wonderful moment in my life. And I really thanked God for His protection.

This lovely card was given to me by my bestfriend Jen who is now living in Australia. Everytime I miss her, I would just read all the greeting cards that she gave me. She's a very thoughtful friend, and she has this sweet habit of sending cards even without a special occasion.

The words in this particular card reminds me of my great friendship with her.

And I thanked God that I am blessed to have a bestfriend like her.

1. I have a history of eye irritation.

3. I'm eating (or recently ate) chicken fillet.

4. There's still lots of garbage on the road due to flood.

5. So that's it, that's life after the storm, let's move on.

6. In times of starvation during disasters, canned goods are better than nothing!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sleep early, tomorrow my plans include cleaning all the mess that typhoon Ondoy brought to our house and Sunday, I want to buy some groceries!

PRAYER BRIDGES
